Cowtown Boots
Posted By Miss Jocelyn Tzahala on July 24, 2008 | Category: In The Life Of A Country Girl
While we were on vacation, down in New Mexico, we went to Cowtown Boots to buy Eric some… well… boots. It was actually a late birthday present. He had already gotten his hat so all he needed was some real, authentic cowboy boots. Just so happened to by a cowboy store right there in town so we all went.
All of our Littles have cowboy boots and hats. You should see the lot of them. Today they all got dressed up to play outside as I’m assuming Cowboys and “bad guys”. Haha

There were many, many pairs of boots to look at when we went to Cowtown Boots, but these were my favourite. They look tough enough to ride a horse, yet they have a simple prairie look about them. Iffen I had the money I would bought fer myself. Not to mention the fact they were a purrty shade of green and brown that gave them that old-fashion look, and they lace up. Like ‘em?

Cowboy Caleb had fun being surrounded by all them boots. He tried a dozen pairs on before we had to stop him from shuffling through. I followed him down an aisle to see what he was doing and he said, “Joshalyn, where all them boots go?” as if he couldn’t find a pair…

Blessings!

I would like a nice pair of boots myself, but they are so expensive. Someday.
Caleb is so cute!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

When I saw the update, this title caught my attention because I know a little something ’bout cowtown boots. I thought you might have visited my neck of the woods. You have excellent taste in boots. I could see those peaking out the bottom of a long denim skirt with lace at the hem.
I was just thinking the other day about a favorite pair of boots that I had. Sure miss ‘em.

And how ’spensive were those boots?! And poor Caleb doesn’t even have shoes – ha!
I don’t think I like that you can see when we visit; then I’d feel so bad if I didn’t leave you a comment!

I know all of our littles have boots and cowboys hats as well….there is just something about little boys in shorts and cowboy boots that makes me smile!
Lots of love

You know I don’t know if I actually looked at the price of those boots. Judging by the prices of the other ones we looked at I imagine too much. Though they were probably really sturdy books and probably worth it because they’d lasted a long time. Maybe someday!
Yeah, Caleb was trying to many boots on and then he “couldn’t find any” that he was barefoot for awhile.
Haha – lots of people visit without saying a word. Oh well. :D

Yes, good leather boots are really expensive! I just wear hand-me-downs from the ranch guys I work for. They work just fine (and really comfortable), I just have to keep greasing them ’cause they get so dry.

I, too, would get boots if I could afford them! I mean, I can afford them, it’s just the age old question: “Do I really need them?” ;-)
Caleb is adorable!

Hello Jocelyn,
Those are very nice boots. I like the green. I hope your brother Eric found some boots that were perfect for him.
When I was very little, I had some white cowboy boots with pink fringe and sequins…I loved those boots. =)
I hope you are having a nice summer,

I LOVE cowboy boots! I got red ropers for the very first time I showed a calf…but they sent them to Rochester NEW YORK instead of Rochester MINNESOTA! Luckily, we got them in time.
Anyway, I can’t find your email address anywhere, so could you email me about the “healthy drink challenge” sort of thing we’ve been discussing? I hope that makes sense; I should get to bed!

What handsome young cowboys you have!
My pa used to have some cowboy boots, as did my ma’s pa. They were so handsome, with scrolley leaves an’ armadillas all over’em, I always longed for a pair o’my own.
I bought me some shoes a while back that made me think of them thar’ boots. I thought they’d look mighty purty to wear dancin’, but I soon discovered while prancin’ on my toes, well, they pinch ‘em so, I can’t bear it. Them’s just fer walkin’ now.
Hope them there cowboys o’yers never grow out o’bein so cute.
Blessin’s,
Breezy
