Ta-da! This is the ice cream cake Mother Dear made for Eric on his birthday last week. I meant to post a picture, but I just forgot. A few years ago she decided to make him an ice cream instead of buying one, and it turned out very nicely. She’s been making them ever since for his birthdays.
She uses ice cream sandwiches, chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, Carmel topping, and chocolate syrup. She usually puts oreo cookies on it as well but this year we forgot to get some. Ah well, it was still very good.
And now to enjoy this piece of cake and congratulate the winner of my Pondür Me This Giveaway….

I’m back from Mexico!!!! It was awesome!!! The kids were SO cute, especially the little ones.
I have a lot of pictures that I can share with you in my Picasa folder thing.
I would blog about it, but I have been thinking that I may stop blogging. It’s more of a chore now (to borrow Sylvia’s words) and seeing everything I saw in Mexico made me realise that life is bigger then the computer. :) But of course I shall still read your blog faithfully as I always do.

Oh, that looks really, really, really good! Looking at the photo, does she put ice cream sandwiches on the bottom of a pan, spread ice cream over the top, and then pour the syrups over the that? I want to try that sometime!

My Mom makes her own ice-cream cakes too, except that she uses Oreos and mint ice-cream, and she puts it in a long, glass brownie pan.

Yes – I like wordpress a lot better, but I’m still going to keep my HSB blog. I’m still messing around with WP, so it’ll probably change around a few times before I decide exactly what I want. :)

Oh that cake looks soooo delicious. I wish I could have some! It’s decorated so nicely with the sauce on the plate too – just like you’d see in a restaurant. :-)
