Homeschool Boutique
Have you heard of the Homeschool Boutique store? I don’t exactly remember when or how we found it, but I simply love it. Homeschool Boutique is designed to “Proud homeschooling family? Let’s us help show it!”, which is run by a homeschooling family of five. The reason they put the HomeschoolBoutique together was because “when we were out during the day, we were always asked why our kids were not in school. We decided to make t-shirts that said, “Yes, I’m homeschooled. Yes, I’m socialized. Yes, I had class today.” Those are the infamous questions homeschoolers everywhere are asked often. This shirt is now our best seller.” They have some of *cutest* and *coolest* tshirts. I’d really like to have one of each and hopefully I will!

This is just one of the many homeschool shirts that have. They have them for Mom, Girl,
Dad, Boy, Materni-Tees, and Baby! I got one (Thank you Mrs. Hill) that says “Property of PROUD Homeschooler 2008″. On most, if not all, the shirts you can pick the colour, shirt style, and size. I got mine as a chocolate tshirt…. the photos are blurry, unless you open them in a new tab.
This was one of my Feelin’ Feminine outfits for this week! I really think you’d all like the Homeschool Boutique store, and hope you’ll stop over there to look around. Are you homeschooled and proud? Let the Homeschool Boutique help you show it!
You can link to the Homeschool Boutique with two really neat icons:
Also, I haven’t been able to make any skirts yet, but I do have plenty of fabric to do so! I have been stocking piling on fabric that I like so I can make skirts out of them. Of course, that doesn’t include the pile of fabric I have for my Regency gown, Galadriel cloak, and a few more projects. “All in good time”. Have you posted your Feelin’ Feminine photos? I have seen several girls posting about it! If you’ve blogged about it every day or more than once, link each post on the linky here like Missie did.

I guess… I thought about doing the Feelin’ Feminine challenge, but I can’t wear skirts to school right now (It’s pouring with rain). Maybe next month? I did sew one on a whim the other day. Since I never use patterns, it turned out just as expected (not entirely stunning), but I like it so much I might make another one. The fabric was weird. It was like a gingham with tiny checks… but it was almost polyester-feeling. But there was something like 15 yards of it downstairs, so why not use it? I generally prefer cotton or other fabrics. At least they’re easier to sew! The slippery stuff just runs away as you try to sew it! “No! No! Come back here, fabric!” “Ha! You’ll never catch me!” (typical conversation in my sewing room)
I have worn a skirt nearly every nice day. That would be a grand total of *2*. :-/ One of my instructors has taken to wearing dresses to ‘will’ Spring to come. It hasn’t really worked…
My HB T-shirt says: Homeschool Social Butterfly. It’s cute! :-) I need to find a green turtleneck to wear under it until Summertime.

That’s a neat shirt! I really like the yes, yes, yes one. Mom says she wants one that says “Yes, I’m homeschooled, I’m in economics class” for when we’re at booksale and such.
Thanks for linking me! (On your FF page)

I got your letter on Saturday and it was great! I will be sending one out today or tomorrow. Whenever it stops raining, haha :)

P.S. I really want to do the prayer challenge. However, we’re going to Mexico in May, so that may be rather hectic. I will try to partcipate in praying for Mexico every day, but I won’t commit for sure. Hope that’s Ok!

Yes, I stumbled across the Homeschool Boutique, also. I love the shirts! I want one myself.
I plan on making myself a skirt and then posting pictures of it. I won’t say for sure I am doing the challenge until I do!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Hello dear! :)
I am so excited that so many people signed up to do the challenge!!! I am sure that this will be one amazing month. Have you decided which country you want to do? I am thinking Haiti or India, or both. :) My whole family is also participating, which I will write about in my post on May 1st.
Also, you mentioned something in one of your last comments about linking my entry “Encouraging & Powerful Psalms” on my mom’s blog. I think it’s a good idea, but it is kind of late now, and also I didn’t post it on Saturday! I might still do it; what do you think?
Sorry I haven’t been by lately. I will be praying for you. :D
Love,
~Kylie

Hello Jocelyn,
oh…thank you for the comment. Yes, I am ready to end this adventure,…I think we are all getting ready to finish up our little journey. We are doing peasants this week, and then that is it!!
Then, comes pratices and opening night… ;) That should be fun, I’m going to help with costumes each night… and be part of the “Cinderella Quick Change” I mean… that is magic, and the fairygodmother does it of course, but I’m going to help her a bit…. :)So I think we are doing about 7 nights of the show… I hope the costumes last that long…lol… I hope I last that long.
So what have you been up to? Cute shirt, I love it… homeschool shirts are great. Because aren’t all homeschoolers proud to be so?
Well, I’ll be on for a while.. if you want to IM… just trying to catch on up all my e-mails…tons of people wanting costumes…ahhh!!! Perhaps even some from France. :)
Talk to you later, thanks again for the comment… I needed that…
Love,
Brielle

I need to get one of those shirts for my sis. Do they make ‘em in 3-T’s? Haha!
Hey, guess what? Tomorrow’s my adoption day! Woohoo. 2 years ago tommorrow, the adoption was final. And Dad’s birthday is tommorow too, and mom’s is the 9th, same as yours.
