Home Is Where Your Barn Is….

Ok, not really, but really I love that barn! These photos were taken back in April a few weeks before we left for Costa Rica.

Oh, you must miss your dear barn so much, Jocelyn! I love barns…especially those beautiful red ones. Our garden is at our cousins’ farm and they have a green and white barn, but there is something special about the red ones… :)

Love the photos…the second one would be my favorite! But the first one is lovely, too…it makes your eyes just shine beautifully.

You are a beautiful lady, Jocelyn—inside and out! Blessings!

Oh I do miss it! the Father must have a better barn somewhere else though lol I am so blessed for the time we had there at that house. Yes, I think red barns are just more… country. lol

Aww, I love green and white barns!

(but, then, I live in a place filled to overflowing with evergreen trees, so green barns fit better in the look of the hills and valleys. … …and I’m kind of obsessed with the color green… guess I’ll have to admit that, too…) :)

Beautiful photos. Oh — when I was growing up (right where we live now) we had a large old wooden two-story barn across the road from the house. You would see it when looking out the front door. I do believe I spent more of my childhood in that barn than in my house. The hay loft was especially my favorite — building tunnels in the stacks of hay, or finding where a mamma cat had hidden her new kittens!
Sadly, the barn had to come down when I was 18. It had been heavily damaged by a storm, then my grandfather had to sell that piece of land across the road to pay for grandma’s cancer treatments, and I cried for weeks after watching that barn come down. They just don’t build them like that anymore. A metal barn would never be like that. (I should post a photo of my childhood barn on my blog).

Thank you, and no never had blue eyes. Sometimes they look green but for the most part they are hazel. :)

I feel the exact same way about our barn. I feel more at home there than the house sometimes. I am sorry that you had to leave it behind…

    Saying a prayer for you,

I’ve always liked barns. I even wanted to make a house out of a barn, (never did get to) but would love it. I understand your love for something like a barn.

When we were small and maybe we left a door open which had previously been closed, my Grandma used to call out, “Aye, were ya born in a barn?” Barns in England do not have doors!

I can’t imagine how much you miss your barn, Jocelyn! Though I read on your mom’s blog that you had settled into a house sort of in the country… I hope you have land enough to grow a few veggies!
    You are in my prayers!
