My Site, My Right
The purpose of this site is to shares about my daily life, beliefs, and heart’s ponderings, and in doing so I hope to encourage believers in a Scriptural-worldview. As I study the Scriptures and write what I’ve found to be true, it not my intention to offend or alienate anyone. While I welcome honest criticism this is my site. I own it and paid for by me. It’s my right to write, rant, lecture, share my convictions, my beliefs, and my opinions as I please. Since I try to keep all inline with the Scriptures be sure that I will use discretion, be cautious, and honour Yahweh-God and Yahushua Messiah [Jesus Christ] in my articles.
Please be aware that my blog is not intended for any debatable purposes (honestly!!). You’re welcome to comment your opinion and discuss topics with me but the only free speech on this blog is MINE. I have the right to delete any comment that I deem necessary. This is not your right, this is mine. I have comments set for moderation and I reserve the right to deny comments if I feel it necessary. As SunnieMom says, “I won’t allow constant unrelated comments to derail the train of thought I am conducting. And I AM the conductor.”
If something offends you, you are welcome to press the little red X in the right corner of your screen.
Since the internet is a place of freedom and this is my corner, I do not wish to waste precious time with comments or questions meant to stir things up or vent. This blog is simply just a place for me to share what Yahweh-God is convicting me of and showing me in my walk with Him. No one is compelled to read anything they do not agree with, and it does no one any good to send messages with hateful intentions. Follow up comments for such messages are generally look down upon and discouraged [they also will be deleted].
Since I hold many views and beliefs that are not generally accepted and people tend to get angry when you stand your ground, I have many who are continually active online with spiteful intentions towards me and my family. As would seem quite obvious I will not allow such people to bash me elsewhere online and then allow their comments on my site. You may think this ungraceful {what is ‘amazing grace’?} – but what are we told to do in Scripture? Paul tells us in Titus 3:9-11 to warn a divisive person once, and then twice, and then have nothing more to do with them.
If you feel this is unfair that I moderate and only allow comments that I see fit, I’m sorry {this of course does not mean I only allow comments that agree with me – how can iron sharpen iron that way?}. It is silly to think I would just let anyone’s comments on my site, yes even believers, if I find them unScriptural. This is not a discussion blog, though some may be, but my personal blog. You can read more about how I blog here: More Like Guidelines Than Actual Rules”.
If you would like to adopt these policies and use my icon, you are welcome to.

Thank you for visiting my site! I hope that it has encouraged and challenged you in someway. Please be aware that my blog is not intended for any debatable purposes (honestly!!), though that's not to say I'm not open to be shown the error of my ways via the Scriptures. This is simply just a place for me to share what Yahveh-God is convicting me of and showing me in my walk with Him. Please read "You're Judgmental" before commenting if the thought strikes you.
I have comments set for moderation and I reserve the right to deny comments if I feel it necessary. I will deny comments that go against the Scriptures. If you are going to refute what I say, please use a Scripture for each belief, in context. I will edit pagan-names and words from comments in obedience of Exodus 23:13.
Also note that if you do not use a valid email address your comment will not be published, no exceptions. Your email is only seen by me so that I might clear my website of spammers. You can read My Site, My Right for more on my site rules.

Did you know that Tolkien was homeschooled for two years from about 9 till 11? He even did it himself for a few months? This is TOTALLY unconnected, but I know you enjoy The Lord of the Rings series. Josh (homeschoolblogger.com/Spitfires) also enjoys his writings.

to “oneaday” I would like to say, I do not think Jocelyn “bashed” them back. I think she just clearly demarked her personal boundaries… with gentle, but unwaivering gracefulness.
Good for you, Joc.

I loved those rules. I also read your beliefs. I also believe that Jesus died on the cross just for us and rose the third day. That is the meaning for Easter.

I think it’s good that you posted this. I know you don’t want to upset anyone, you just state your beliefs and hope to be an encouragement to others. I love that about you. So many people are afraid to say what they believe, more so when it has to do with their faith. You live your faith, and share it with all who read your blog. You truly encourage me. Thank you.
I love you, too. You are one of my dearest friends.
Much love,
~Nikki

Greetings, Miss Jocelyn,
I am so glad to speak to you again! I have not been very dutiful in my blogging and am sorry. Especially since I have not commented on one of my favourite bloggers and best friend!
I am very amazed and how gently but firmly you wrote your rules. I am afraid I could not have done so in such a, shall we say, ‘non anger-provoking’ manner. (yes, its not a word but I do not have a vast vocabulary!)
I wish I had more to talk about! You can find my latest entry Here: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Cornflower/500069/
Farewell!

Aww! Your sweet! Well, congrats! I wish I could put your icon on my blog, but I dont have any clue how to put an icon on it! Kate Seawolf said she could do it, but she is always pretty busy and she has more important things to do on the computer than put icons on my blog! Your blog is so graceful and refined! God bless you!

Hey Jocelyn,
I’m linking to this little bitty myself.Haha Thanks yet again for the design work dear friend!
I don’t always agree with everyone on politics either. I too have also had a couple nasty comments including one with a racist site geared to those of color, religious difference and women. I had to put my foot down in a whole different way and am glad for the protection of IP addresses.
I find that I’m sort of centered where beliefs are. I’m Christian, but my beliefs are as yours to teach, and welcome discussions. Questioning why each person believes what they believe and hopefully helping each person to understand what THEY believe in and not just something they were told by a parent or grandparent, but REALLY searching, researching and asking God for answers.
Wheather it’s politics or my faith in Christ, my role is to educate myself and share the good news, but also be a light to others with hopes my broken vessel may be used by Him.
I would hope that people understand that discussions can help open doors. While we all may not agree, we shouldn’t be closed minded either. Always willing to learn from one another and keep ourselves always open to Gods direction.
I’ve said this to you before. My heart is blessed by a young girl your age who is willing to open her spirit to others in ways you may not understand right now. God is doing a fabulous work in you and moulding you into such an evangelistic type of ministry that reaches out to people of ALL ages.
May God continue to use you as His vessel.
Thanks again for this link for blog rules. It says everything more eloquently than I could ever put them. I pray I would use those rules as an example for myself and remember God is daily watching.

Hey, MJ!
It’s me again (I’m a little pest aren’t I? [lol]) I read this article and am sorry that some of my comments have been kinda disobeying what you wrote here. If I disagree with something, I will not comment on it and if I do, I will say it as a friendly convesation instead of ‘That is not right. You are so stupid to think that’. No, I will not say anything like that and if I do (which I probably won’t), I will ask for your forgivness.

Oh thankyou so much for replying to my comment, I was suprised and pleased especially as you replied to it so soon! I really like the way your blog always talks about Christian things aswell!
bye for now
God bless you

Hi Jocelyn! Thank you for posting these rules ~ if it’s ok with you, I would like to copy them as a starting template for my own rules, and change them to meet my needs. Please let me know if that’s alright; if you would like for me to put your button in my sidebar giving you credit, I am willing to do that. Just let me know is required. :)
Blessings,

Hello!
My name is Heather and I stumbled across your blog (and I’m so glad I did!)
I Posted your little button “My site, My right” on my blog —- Just earlier today my co-worker was telling me I should put something like: “This is my little world, if you don’t like it you can leave.”
I thought that would be rather rude, seeing as my blog is a Christian blog and I want to be a good testimony. I liked the way you worded it though! :)
Also, I am now “following” your blog through my news feed, and I look forward to reading whatever future posts you may write!
May God continue to bless you!

Hi!
I think this is a very good list of rules for blog visitors and commenters, and I have added the icon to my blog. I have just started blogging, but it is probably better to lay out the rules now instead of later.

Hi, Miss J! It sounds like you’ve been bothered by rude comments lately. I am very sorry. I hope you know you are an encouragement to me. I grew up (and am still living) in a non-Christian home. I am choosing to live hear b/c while my dad is not Christian, I feel it is the best place for me until my wedding to the most wonderful Christian man.(Aug. 2010 Woo-Hoo!!!) And your posts teach me and encourage me to follow God, serve others, and be feminine. Thank you for what you do!!!!!!
God Bless!

I think I am going to do this kind of chart on my blog since I previously received “nowhere” comments and I know people that strongly disagree with my beliefs.I am going to make it definitively clear that I am trying to please Yeshua and not people. Thanks Jocelyn, it was really helpful.
