That Truly Amazing Grace

Grace began in the Garden of Eden. Salvation came at the stake. The stake is Yahweh’s expression of his grace through salvation by his Son, Yahushua.
Yahweh has been giving grace to his people since Adam and Eve. He did not strike them dead, though he said the punishment would be death, but promised to redeem them through a saviour.
He gave Cain grace when he placed a mark on him so no one would kill him.
He gave grace to Noah and allowed him to be saved from the waters of the flood.
He gave Avraham grace when he pulled him out of Ur and made his descendants as many as the stars.
He showed grace when said he would spare Sodom and Gomorah if Avraham could find just 40… 30…20…10 good men.
He showed grace to Lot and his family when he sent to angels to get them out.
He gave grace to Joseph when he was in prison and then to the pharaoh.
He showed grace over and over and over to the Israelites in the wilderness when they rebelled against him.
He showed grace to those who worshiped the golden calf.
He showed grace when he gave his Torah so they would not fall into sin
He showed grace when he sent quails and ma’nuh for food.
He showed grace when he preserved their clothing and shoes.
He showed grace when he appointed judges and kings when the people cried out for one.
He showed grace when Israel turned to pagan ways, only to cry out to Yahweh for help, in which he sent Ehud, Otni’el, Deborah, Gideon, etc.
He showed grace when he saved the entire nation of Jews living in Persia from Haman’s plot.
He showed grace to Ruth the Moabite when he sent her the Kinsman Redeemer to her aid.
He showed grace when he sent the prophets, from Jeremiah, Isaiah, Micah, to Joel, Amos, Daniel, to show them their sin and call them to repentance.
He showed them grace when he sent his promised Messiah, Yahushua, to the people to save them from their sins, at the time when they we’re under the legalism of the perversion of Torah and from violating it.
Exodus 20: 6
…..for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sins of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but displaying grace to the thousandth generation of those who love me and obey my mitzvot.Exodus 34: 6-7
Yahweh passed before him and proclaimed: “YAHWEH is God, merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in grace and truth; 7 showing grace to the thousandth generation, forgiving offenses, crimes and sins; yet not exonerating the guilty, but causing the negative effects of the parents’ offenses to be experienced by their children and grandchildren, and even by the third and fourth generations.”Ruth 2:20
Na’omi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by Yahweh, who has never stopped showing grace, neither to the living nor to the dead.” Na’omi also told her, “The man is closely related to us; he’s one of our redeeming kinsmen.”2 Samuel 22:51
He is a tower of salvation for his king; he displays grace to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever.”1 Chronicles 16:34
Give thanks to Yahweh; for he is good, for his grace continues forever.Nehemiah 1:5
I said, “Please, Yahweh! God of heaven! You great and fearsome God, who keeps his covenant and extends grace to those who love him and observe his mitzvot!Psalms 25: 6
Remember your compassion and grace, Yahweh; for these are ages old.Isaiah 58:4
I was angry for a moment and hid my face from you; but with everlasting grace I will have compassion on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer.Jeremiah 33:11
the sounds of joy and gladness and the voices of bridegroom and bride, the voices of those who sing, ‘Give thanks to Yahweh-Tzva’ot, for Yahweh is good, for his grace continues forever,’ as they bring offerings of thanksgiving into the house of Yahweh. For I will cause those captured from the land to return, as before,” says Yahweh.John 1: 16-18
We have all received from his fullness, yes, grace upon grace. 17 For the Torah was given through Moshe; grace and truth came through Yahushua the Messiah. 18 No one has ever seen God; but the only and unique Son, who is identical with God and is at the Father’s side — he has made him known.Romans 3:24
By God’s grace, without earning it, all are granted the status of being considered righteous before him, through the act redeeming us from our enslavement to sin that was accomplished by the Messiah Yahushua.
I won’t go through the entire Old Testament, but I am tempted to! There is so much more. David’s psalms are just laced with grace of Yahweh… David, of all people, especially knew how awesome Yahweh’s grace was. How full of grace Yahweh is and continues to be to those who seek it. Grace is when “a grant made as an act of grace.” When we are given grace it is a second (or third or fourth, etc) chance for us to teshuva [turn from sin, turn to God], ask for forgiveness, and seek after holiness. This is grace is.
Yahushua came to bring salvation to anyone who is willing to accept it and follow on the narrow path. The faith has always been open to anyone willing, like the Egyptians who left Egypt with the Israelites, but of course they all still were awaiting and needed a saviour. Their sacrifices of bulls and goats did not remove their sins, only covered them. Yahushua, the saviour, was the final sacrifice that could both cover and remove sins. Like Avraham, they were saved through their faith of the Messiah, though he had not yet come. Now that the Messiah has come we are able to take grace to another level as we continue to seek and given the same grace he gave and to be in one accord with the Saviour.
Yahushua said “go and sin no more, you’re sins are forgiven”. Grace is a two way street. When we receive Yahweh’s grace it’s not a “get out of jail” free card. We are expected to turn from our ways, of which we required Yahweh’s grace, and follow after him. We are now bondservants to Yahushua. A bondservant is someone who freely offers their live in the service of another. We’ve been set free from sin and now we are slaves to righteousness (Romans 6). Paul proclaims many times he is a servant of the Messiah and that he offers his life daily as a living sacrifice (Ephesians 3:1-7, Romans 12:1). We’ve been warned about abusing grace by Paul, why do we not heed his words? “Therefore, what conclusion should we reach? “Let’s go on sinning, because we’re not under legalism but under grace”? Heaven forbid!”
We are to give grace and continue loving as the Messiah did. If a person won’t teshuva and seek after Yahweh we are to cast them out as pagans as we are told throughout the Scriptures. Matthew 18 is known for this topic, but Paul also speaks about not even eating with a brother, believer, who “engages in sexual immorality, is greedy, worships idols, is abusive, gets drunk or steals” in 1 Corinthians 5. We are continually told to purge the ungodliness from the believers, and to do so we must apply grace as Yahweh and Yahushua did. We must do this to full understand how we are to display grace.
We are called to lead set-apart lives for the glory of Yah, just as Yahushua did while on earth and does there in heavenly places. Yahushua did nothing of his on accord, only what the Father instructed and gave him to authority to do. Yahweh entrusted his grace to his son to forgive sins and make a holy nation, but he also gave him all judgment. The Father will not judge, but only the Son. Let us not fail to honour the Son by abuse of grace, thus failing also to honour the father.
John 5: 22-30
The Father does not judge anyone but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 so that all may honor the Son as they honor the Father. Whoever fails to honor the Son is not honoring the Father who sent him. 24 Yes, indeed! I tell you that whoever hears what I am saying and trusts the One who sent me has eternal life — that is, he will not come up for judgment but has already crossed over from death to life! 25 Yes, indeed! I tell you that there is coming a time — in fact, it’s already here — when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who listen will come to life. 26 For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has given the Son life to have in himself. 27 Also he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. 28 Don’t be surprised at this; because the time is coming when all who are in the grave will hear his voice 29 and come out — those who have done good to a resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to a resurrection of judgment. 30 I can’t do a thing on my own. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is right; because I don’t seek my own desire, but the desire of the one who sent me.
We call our belief and trusting in the Messiah “a walk” and when you go on a walk you’re always moving forward. You’re not standing still or going backwards, and that is how our spiritual walk should be. We should always be progressing towards the goal which is the Messiah, to imitate him, to follow after him, and to obey all of the commands he gave us, thus the Father. Just as he sought the Father, not anything of his own desire, so should we.

Wow! I wholeheartedly agree! Grace is SO important in our lives. Not only do we need it, but we need to give it too. Aren’t we so glad for God’s grace? In this season of thankfulness, let’s remember to thank God for his all abounding grace!!!!!!!!
Thanks for this great post! You made my day,

Well said! To me, even Yahweh clothing Adam and Eve after they had sinned is an amazing sign of His grace. They sinned grievously against the One who made them, yet He clothed them and allowed them to live! Our Heavenly Father is so loving and merciful, even when we don’t deserve it. ust that list of yours shows how truly merciful and gracious our Mighty One of Israel is!

Thank you! This was a fabulous post, and I learned so much. I am so blessed to have Yehovah’s grace in my life. I don’t know what took me so long to come to that point, but as you said, when you are on a walk you are moving forward. He has done amazing things in my life, and I am excited to see what he has planned next!
Be blessed, and have a beautiful Thanksgiving.
