My Deliverer
Posted By Miss Jocelyn Tzahala on September 27, 2009 | Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise, The Scriptures, These Last Days
I listened quite intently as this song played yesterday while I was preparing for the Lord’s day today. It’s wonderful how Yehovah can use something, the same thing, in different ways for different things at different times according to His purpose and glory. This song is written about Yeshua’s coming to fulfill Yehovah’s promises of a saviour, a deliverer, a messiah, but as I listened I was reminded that Yeshua is again standing by, waiting on the Father, to deliver those who believe in Him(v, v). My Deliverer is coming. He is standing by.
Joseph took his wife and her child and they went to Africa
To escape the rage of a deadly king
There along the banks of the Nile, Jesus listened to the song
That the captive children used to sing
They were singin’
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
Through a dry and thirsty land, water from the Kenyon heights
Pours itself out of Lake Sangra’s broken heart (its broken heart)
There in the Sahara winds Moses heard the whole world cry
For the healing that would flow from God’s own scars
I hear Moses singing
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
He will never break His promise – He has written it upon the sky
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
I will never doubt His promise though I doubt my heart, I doubt my eyes
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
He will never break His promise though the stars should break faith with
the sky
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming – my Deliverer is standing by
My Deliverer is coming
Yehovah calls us to be fruitful and to further His kingdom. We are not to be at home or at church or at social events and just live. Yeshua was not idle until His appointed time nor Paul or Peter or John or any of the apostles. They lived a life as a daily sacrifice unto the Him (v). We are to seek Yehovah’s will, study His WORD, compare everything with it, and be an example for others as Yeshua was for us (v)…. through His everyday life. Yeshua said “Go and teach what I’ve taught you. Live as I have shown you”,(v) and sadly I don’t think anyone really does or looks at what/how He lived. We have so many ideas of who Yeshua was that we blur out what we have written in the WORD (v). We have all we need to do what is holy in His sight. We have Yehovah’s perfect Torah (v) and we have His perfect Son (v) to follow. I want to live as He did and put the blessings Yehovah’s given me to good use until the Deliverer comes. Yehovah’s people can no longer sit by. While we’re waiting we must be doing all we can for His glory, intently.
He will never break His promises. He is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever (v, v)! My Deliverer is coming. He. Is. Standing. By. Oh today also begins Yehovah’s feast of Sukkot and Yeshua [Jesus] was born right about NOW! Happy birthday Yeshua Ha Mashiach!

Beautiful post, Miss Jocelyn! That is one of my favorite songs. I first heard it at your momma’s blog. I can’t remember how many times I played it, but I can remember it was a lot! It is amazing how Yehovah can use something as small as a song, isn’t it?

Love this song and much of Rich Mullins music is similar to Keith Green, calling the Believer to respond.

This is an excellent post!! Guess what? you probably already know this…. the gates of heaven are open on Shabbat and this is when the greatest insight and blessings come through. (Ezekiel 46:1,3) Your words are so needed. This is exactly what I have been thinking about on the Sabbath. Thank you!
Blessings

How odd. In last night’s dream, I recall being told that Sukkot, and not Christmas was Yeshua’s real birthday. I hadn’t even bothered to research this and it was instead revealed to me!
