Healthy Whole Wheat
2 3/4 cup warm milk (100 degrees)
1 cup oat bran
4 tsp yeast
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup coconut oil
2 tsp lemon juice
4 tsp salt
8 cups whole wheat flour

Pour milk into mixing bowl and add in next four ingredients. Mix well. Add in flour, one cup at a time, mixing until smooth. Then add the two remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly until both are completely dissolved into dough. If sticky add as much flour as you need, 1/2 a cup at a time, until easy to kneed. Knead for 2-3 minutes and then separate into two equal halves. Lightly grease two loaf pans with butter or oil. Place dough into pans and let rise until doubled. Bake at 350′ for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. You may lightly brush over with egg white for a glossy finish and firm crust. If you’re eating the bread by itself it tastes best warm with some honey and butter on top.  Hmmm yum!

this is my own recipe off of the delicious bread (I know I’ve tasted it!) that the Seven Sisters bake!

That looks really yummy — I’m going to have to try it sometime in the near future. I just finished baking my first apple pie, which took me awhile because I’m more of a cake person than a pie person. Anyway, it looks delicious and it’s healthy – something I’m practically always looking for. So yeah – I think I’ll try baking it and share it with my brothers :)

Yummy! My favourite bread to make is soda bread, it doesn’t take long and tastes great with some leek and potato soup! I’m somewhat naughty and don’t like wholewheat bread as much as I should – white is my preference but I’m sure even wholewheat bread tastes great with honey-butter on top!

Love your blog Jocelyn! I’ve just done holiday club for 150 children at my church all week and I’m not feeling well today, but hopefully soon my blog will consist of more than Sunday Psalm posts :p
