“She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willing with her hands. 14 she is like the merchant’s ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meant to her household and portions to her maidens.” Proverbs 31:13

A Blogger friend wanted to learn to cook so I decided to share these with you. Here are some really good dishes to serve up. The 2 bottom ones I came up with while using my highly train culinary skills (evil laugh). If you would like to know how to cook a certain meal… I probably know how, so you are welcome to email me.

Brownie Pancakes…
Ingredients:
Brownie Batter
Your Favourite Ice Cream –vanilla works best
Nuts
Syrup

Take your Brownie batter and prepare like pancakes by putting one spoonful into a greased skillet and cooking/flipping until done. Make them about the size of your palm. Place 2 on a plate and top with 2 scoops of ice cream and add nuts and syrup. Enjoy! This is really rich so you may want to drink a nice cold glass of organic or skim milk.

Rice

Ingredients:
3c. Brown rice
6c. Hot water or chicken stock
4TBsp. Butter
A dash of Rosemary, Oregano, Basil, salt

Directions:
Brown* rice in pan for 10minutes and then add the hot water and herbs. DO NOT STIR rice after you put water in. Let boil on high and then turn on low. Put lid on pan and let simmer until water is completely gone. Take a fork and fluff the rice and then add butter and serve. Best served hot.

* Brown rice by letting it turn colour in pan

Spaghetti Sauce

1lb. Ground Sirloin Beef
2 cans of tomato paste
3 rather large fresh tomatoes
2tsp. Rosemary
1/2c. Honey
2c. Fresh spinach
1 large onion
2boxes of whole-wheat spaghetti noodles

Directions:
Noodles: Put water onto boil. When boiling, add noodles. Let boil for 10-15 minutes and then drain.

Sauce: Brown beef and then add fresh tomatoes, rosemary, and salt. Put spinach and onion in blender and purée. Add spinach, onion and honey into pan. Add mushrooms if desired. Mix in tomato paste with fork (mix well). Let simmer for 30minutes and serve.

Note; if the sauce isn’t thick enough add tablespoon of flour and mix in really well!

To cook frozen vegetables:

Put in saucepan and add 1/2c water and add 1tsp butter. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes and serve.

Greenbeans:
2c. Fresh greenbeans
1 large red onion
10 pieces of turkey bacon

Directions:
Put greenbeans in pan. Cut onion and bacon in pieces and add to greenbeans. Let simmer for 20mintues. Add butter if desired.

Welcome

Shalom, welcome to A Pondering Heart. I hope you will be challenged by what you read here and it will cause you to search deeper and deeper into the Word of YAH. My name is Jocelyn Tzahala - I am a 19yo young woman, living in Latin America, seeking to be 'set apart as YHVH is set-apart". I want my faith to resemble that Avraham because in him YHVH found a man who would trust in him with everything and act upon his Word. My hope is that my life may be a sweet fragrance unto YHVH the MOST HIGH! HalleluYAH!Read more about me here
