God With Us

Posted By Miss Jocelyn Tzahala on January 10, 2009 | Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

The Prophet Isaiah foretold of his birth, calling him Immanuel – God with us. Jesus fulfilled many of the prophecies foretold about him through his birth, life, and death. He will fulfill even more when He returns to take his own home. There will be time, soon, when He returns and those taken up in the clouds will live in His presence forever. Immanuel – God with us. I’m in awe.

O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan’s tyranny
From depths of Hell Thy people save
And give them victory o’er the graveSaturday Psalm & Praise
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Key of David, come,
And open wide our heavenly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, Thou Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai’s height,
In ancient times did’st give the Law,
In cloud, and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

Shalom,

It had been exciting talking about “In the beginning”, as well as what the future holds, hasn’t it?

It’s a shame when people don’t understand who God is. It’s a shame when He is just what the world depicts him as and nothing more. Oh how they miss out.

I hope this year brings people to their knees and God to their hearts in a way they have never known and never thought would be possible.

My family loves that song! We sing it a lot, almost too much, so sometimes someone will mention it and my younger sister will say “Oh, not THAT song again!”
We do love it, though. :)

  16. Hi Miss Jocelyn,
This is such a beautiful song.
Too bad we generally only think of it at Christmas time.
We should daily be seeking Emmanuel.

Welcome

Shalom, welcome to A Pondering Heart. I hope you will be challenged by what you read here and it will cause you to search deeper and deeper into the Word of YAH. My name is Jocelyn Tzahala - I am a 19yo young woman, living in Latin America, seeking to be 'set apart as YHVH is set-apart". I want my faith to resemble that Avraham because in him YHVH found a man who would trust in him with everything and act upon his Word. My hope is that my life may be a sweet fragrance unto YHVH the MOST HIGH! HalleluYAH!Read more about me here
