Comments on: Life-Size Noah’s Ark

I must be weird: the ark depicted looks smaller than I would have expected. A long time ago, in my very pre-Christian days, I read a book called Unicorns in the Rain. It is a young adult book, but any teens reading this should get permission before obtaining and reading the book as some parents might consider the content inappropriate (and as for me, I'm undecided on this subject). The book starts with a "proverb" that says "imagine a world in which God isn't dead, but in which He hasn't yet begun to live." The story is amazing, and through it I felt that I had gotten an idea in modern, Imperial measurements, of what the Ark would have looked like. I had imagined it somewhat larger somehow. Isn't it strange what our imaginations will do with information with which they have been presented? Thank you for sharing this story! Leo and I are talking about going to one of the Creation Museums. There is one just in Kentucky. Have the Dixons been there? If so, what is it like? Rebeccas last blog post..The Marriage License

Hey dear girl, good post!
Ron Wyatt actually passed away years ago but his family still operates the museaum. And you know what? It is only abour 10 miles from me, I have driven by there but never stopped, I need to make plans and go when they are open and check it out. I always thought it sounded fascinating! I will let you know if I do.

:) That’s alright. I didn’t mind. I haven’t done too much study on Mr. Wyatt, but I can believe there are chariot wheels in the Red Sea (and haven’t read any of AIG’s thoughts on the subject). Why wouldn’t there be?

My comment about Ron Wyatt was, perhaps, unnecessary, since you weren’t saying whether he was right or not. :) I used to believe his claims about the chariot wheels found in the Red Sea before, but have since heard from Answers in Genesis to be wary of his claims.

I’ve hear of this and it would be super fun to see!

Some of the ladies at the Crisis Pregnancy Center where I work were telling me about something like this in Branson–I’m not sure that it looks like an ark outside–maybe just the inside. It sounded pretty fascinating, too–with live animals.

I’ve read some of the discoveries by Ron Wyatt. I think he did his research and actually did discover all of the stuff on his website.

That’s a pretty neat looking replica of the ark. :)

I blogged about this before. Just one point about the replica; yes, it’s impressive, but according to his website it’s actually only built approximately to scale and is 1/2 the length and 1/3 the width of the Biblical dimensions.

So the Biblical ark would have been even bigger!
